Following the announcement by The R&A and USGA that there will be limitations on golf balls introduced from 2028, the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) and the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects (SAGCA) have issued a joint response explaining their support of the decision.

The European Institute of Golf Course Architects has welcomed the changes to the World Handicap System which recognise of the importance and value to the game of shorter courses.
