The business, which included 36 holes and a hotel/wedding venue set in 220 acres of freehold rolling countryside, has been closed down and the new owner is looking at different uses for the site.

Middlesbrough Council has instructed property sales agents HMH Golf & Leisure to bring Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre to market, with offers invited before December 6.
