Greenkeepers recently attended a joint ICL and Syngenta Education Day at Royal Birkdale Golf Club where the agenda included a course walk led by course manager Sean McLean, which gave attendees the opportunity to see the preparations that are already underway for The Open Championship in 2026.

An educational event organised by ICL and Syngenta brought together over 50 greenkeepers from seven different counties for a day filled with insightful presentations and valuable networking opportunities at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club in Somerset. 

The ‘ASOOTY’ awards highlight best practice and experience in the challenging role of ensuring accurate application on all amenity surfaces. Managing all the turf and amenity spraying at the JCB Golf and Country Club in Uttoxeter, Dan Waring was praised for his meticulous attention to detail and adoption of new technologies to assure accurate application
