ICL Scholars

2.55pm 18th December 2018 -

Taking advantage of the world-leading education opportunities offered by Continue to Learn at BTME will once again be the five successful recipients of the ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship.

Out of a desire to make Continue to Learn accessible to everyone, regardless of location around the country or the financial status of the club they work at, the scholarship comprises three nights’ hotel accommodation and a 15-hour education bundle.

This year’s successful BIGGA members are: Blair Shearer, assistant greenkeeper at Dunbar; Dan Dooley, greenkeeper at Mount Murray; David Stewart, deputy head greenkeeper at Walmley; Jorge Manso, deputy head greenkeeper at Coombe Wood; and Andrew Brown, course manager at Boundary Lakes.

David said: “At Continue to Learn I’ll be able to fully immerse myself in the training and education opportunities, really making the most of all the event has to offer.

“As a deputy course manager aspiring to take the leap into course management, I applied for the scholarship to have the chance to enjoy everything that makes BTME such a valuable opportunity.

“Attending Continue to Learn gives me the fantastic opportunity to network with people in the industry I may not have come across outside of the event, giving me the chance to hear different techniques, styles and pathways through the industry.”
