Golf Industry News - Portmarnock Golf Club

Portmarnock Golf Club in the Republic of Ireland is being considered by the R&A as a potential site for future renewals of the AIG Women’s Open and The Open Championship.

Portmarnock Golf Club in Ireland has been chosen to step in to host the 2024 Women’s Amateur Championship after the tournament's initial host venue, Royal Birkdale, had to give up the event due to course development work being planned at the Southport venue.

Portmarnock Golf Club, which last year voted to admit women members and become gender neutral, has appointed the first female general manager in the club’s long history.
