New PGA Head Professional at Lanhydrock Hotel

Lanhydrock Hotel announces the appointment of new resident PGA Head Professional, Alister Tawse.

Alister spent the last 20 years as the Head Professional and Golf Director at West Surrey Golf Club before relocating to Cornwall at the beginning of 2013. Having spent the last 18 months at Mercedes Benz in Truro as Business Development Manager, Alister has now found the perfect opportunity to return to the golf industry by joining us at Lanhydrock.

Graham Bond, Director. said: “Alister brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise across all aspects golf. With a track record of not only operating as a very successful Golf Professional keeping a demanding club fresh and innovative, but additionally successful in developing team ethic, enhancing the experience for the membership of the club.”

“There can’t be many better locations for visiting golfers and members to play their golf,” said Alister.“Lanhydrock has a first class reputation for hospitality and the golf course is well on par with this. I’m really looking forward to joining the Lanhydrock Team and helping to promote and develop what is one of golf’s real hidden gems.”

Not only does Alister offer skills in Golf Coaching, he is also a keen swimmer and rugby enthusiast, with a bit of luck he’ll be able to teach you to retrieve your hook from the water hazard with a fine stroke and ensure all your putts are converted.
