Dreamland Golf Club in Azerbaijan has appointed experienced golf course superintendent Russell Wilson to lead its agronomy operation as the club continues its investment in course quality and member experience.
Russell joins the club at an important stage in its continued development, bringing with him a wealth of international experience and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality playing surfaces, leading high-performing teams and implementing progressive turf management strategies.
Dreamland Golf Club, managed by IMG Golf Course Services, forms part of the wider Dreamland Resort located just a short drive from Heydar Aliyev International airport. The resort has established itself as one of Azerbaijan’s leading lifestyle and leisure destinations, centred around its 18-hole Dye Design championship golf course.

Russell began his international career in Portugal before spending the past ten years as golf course superintendent at Ghala Golf Club in Oman. During his tenure, he successfully led a wide range of course improvement and maintenance initiatives, consistently delivering high-quality playing surfaces while promoting sustainable agronomic practices.
Renowned within the industry for his technical expertise, leadership and attention to detail, Russell has established a proven track record of elevating golf course presentation and delivering operational excellence.
