One of the major golf memorabilia auctions of the new millennium is to take place at St Andrew’s on July 17. The hunt is on to find items to attract four and five figure bids.

Andrew Phelan has been promoted to general manager of the Old Course Hotel at St Andrews. Phelan, whose wife Ann is the resort’s marketing manager, joined as food and beverage manager four and a half years ago and was executive assistant manager at the time of his promotion.
