Work has started on a $24 million renovation and expansion of the clubhouse at Audubon Country Club in Florida, marking a significant milestone in the Naples-based club’s ongoing evolution and its commitment to elevating the member experience.

Construction is now underway on the multi-phase project, with architectural and interior design led by AM Design Group, an award-winning firm recognised for its expertise in private club environments.

Working closely with club leadership and members throughout the planning process, the design team has crafted a vision that reflects the unique character and needs of the Audubon community.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027, with the re-opening anticipated in early 2028.

The vision for the renovation centres on a more connected, versatile clubhouse that fully adapts from relaxed daily use to elevated social events. The design emphasises a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle, highlighted by a new outdoor dining venue, a reimagined veranda, and refreshed bar and lounge spaces that flow effortlessly together.

At its heart, a new bar will anchor the experience as a warm, inviting social hub, featuring expanded seating, refined finishes, and enhanced lighting that encourage members to connect, unwind, and feel at home.

Designed with expanded seating, refined finishes, and thoughtfully layered lighting, the space offers a warm, welcoming ambiance from day to night. Whether enjoying a casual drink after a round or meeting friends for an evening cocktail, the Sunset Bar creates an inviting setting to connect, unwind, and take in the club’s signature atmosphere.

Dining and social spaces will be reimagined, blending natural textures, soft coastal tones, and refined detailing. The Grille Room will undergo a complete renovation to create a more inviting, relaxed setting, while the expanded ballroom will offer an elegant backdrop for larger gatherings and special events.

Complementing these enhancements, a new wine room and a coffee bar will introduce added versatility, seamlessly supporting everything from casual mornings to elevated dining experiences, all within a cohesive and distinctly Audubon atmosphere.

Golf amenities are also part of the improvement plan, with the pro shop being relocated and expanded to a more prominent and accessible area. The updated space will offer an enhanced retail experience, with increased room for merchandise and improved service for members.

Beyond member spaces, the project includes the development of a new 5,000-square-foot operations wing. This addition will provide upgraded facilities for staff, expanded office space, and consolidated storage areas, improving overall efficiency and supporting the club’s day-to-day operations.

Throughout the construction process, the club will continue to offer its core amenities and programming. While some temporary adjustments are expected during construction phases, the club remains committed to maintaining a high-quality member experience during the transition.
