Play Golf America Demo Days debut in 2004

Reed Exhibitions, the PGA of America and PGA Magazine have announced plans to introduce players to the game and to game improvement technology available in the latest golf equipment through Play Golf America Demo Day events in 2004. Organized in conjunction with the golf industry’s new Play Golf America player development program, the demo events will involve multiple manufacturers, clinics, lessons and special events.
Play Golf America is an industry-wide marketing initiative to connect consumers with local programs designed to increase their enjoyment of the game and to provide more affordable playing opportunities for all levels of golfers. Plans call for up to three Play Golf America Demo Day events being staged in 2004 with the markets expected to be announced by year’s end. Additional markets will be added in future years.
Working with the PGA and its local PGA Sections, Play Golf America Demo Days will offer golfers a special day of clinics, tune-up lessons with PGA professionals, skill challenges and contests, and the opportunity to demo the newest technology from a variety of leading manufacturers. Long range, short game and putting areas will allow consumers to test equipment, compete for prizes and learn in a great setting.

Orender. “Our more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals are dedicated to growing the game and the combination of golf instruction and professional club fitting will be instrumental in improving the ball striking of thousands of new and improving golfers. As we all know, ball striking is an important part of every golf experience.”
