FAMARA expands retail horizons at Australia’s Festival of Golf

UK-based women's apparel brand to showcase its latest collection in Australia for the first time.

UK-based performance apparel brand FAMARA will make its Australian debut this month at the Festival of Golf, marking the company’s first major international showcase in the region.

The Gold Coast Festival of Golf, which is taking place from March 19–22 at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club in Queensland, will bring together leading players, industry professionals and golf fans for the staging of the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship.

FAMARA will use the four-day event as a platform to introduce its distinctive women’s performance wear collection to Australian retailers, media and consumers for the first time.

Designed in the UK, the brand blends technical performance fabrics with contemporary silhouettes and a distinctive colour palette inspired by volcanic landscapes. Its design philosophy draws heavily from the dramatic terrain of Lanzarote, where FAMARA founder Liz Harwood spent many years.

Earth-toned shades — including ash greys, oxidised reds and layered sand neutrals — reflect the island’s mineral-rich landscapes, creating a bold alternative to the traditionally pastel-heavy colour schemes often seen in women’s golf apparel.

Harwood said: “FAMARA was created to bring depth, colour and intention to women’s sportswear. Our colours are not trend-led, they are art-led. We wanted to take the drama and strength of volcanic environments and translate that into pieces that make women feel powerful, grounded and confident.”

The collection includes performance golf apparel designed for both on-course play and off-course wear, alongside functional activewear that blends athletic performance with contemporary style.
