Faldo Management launches

8.15am 21st March 2004 - People

Nick Faldo has announced the launch of Faldo Management, a new company set up to manage the affairs of professional golfers and guide the careers of promising young amateurs, and also unveiled the company’s first signing.
More than a quarter of a century since Faldo himself was honoured as ‘Rookie of the Year‘, the first professional to sign up to Faldo Management is Peter Lawrie, the only Irish recipient of the prestigious Sir Henry Cotton award. Lawrie ended the 2003 season with six top-20 finishes and earnings of 422,817 euros ($485,200).
Iain Forsyth, managing director of Faldo Enterprises, has been given the extended role of heading up Faldo Management and has an experienced sales, administration and financial support structure in place to begin working on behalf of golf clients immediately.
The Kraken Group, a specialist investment house, will be responsible for the financial well being of Faldo Management’s golf clients. Kraken CEO Karl Fowler and his board of directors have extensive financial management experience garnered from positions at global organisations such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and Deloitte & Touche.
Faldo Management’s London base will be in the existing Faldo Enterprises office in Victoria. www.nickfaldo.com
