Guide to save Internet searching

9.30am 22nd March 2002 - Media

This is the first in a series of guides about specific subjects on the Internet. It is published by EZWebguides.com Ltd who have calculated that there are now more than 10 million websites on the Internet which have reference to golf. “It would take someone more than 300 years at 8 hours a day to look at them all,” said a spokesman.

The publishers say that they aim to save time for those looking for good quality and relevant information and in “The World’s Best Golf Webguide” just over 160 golf websites have been selected, fully reviewed, rated and sorted.

Categories covered include golf course guides; equipment and clothing; real estate; travel and holidays; books, videos and magazines; golf schools and instruction; art and collectables; software; and on-line news. These topics have been sorted into 18 chapters with thousands more websites listed for further reference.

Each site is rated according six categories including ease of use, site speed and content and receives a full page (A5) description with coloured illustrations of the site’s design. Readers can register their purchase of the book on the publisher’s web site and will receive free electronic updates of the guide.

“The Worlds Best Golf Webguide” will be published in April 2002, 234 pages £9.99 ISBN 1 904085 00 8
