Following the success of a fantastic Centenary year, Golf Monthly is proud to announce market leadership of the UK golf magazine sector with an audited circulation (ABC) of 60,130 for the July-December 2011 period, moving the title ahead of Today’s Golfer – who posted a circulation of 59,589 – and almost double that of Golf World (34,529).
In the actively purchased category, Golf Monthly continues to dominate the market with 98.9% of its UK and ROI copies paid for versus 94% for Today’s Golfer and only 85.5% for Golf World.
Circulation is not the only good news to report. Over the past 12 months, Golf Monthly has also been focusing on the growth of its digital platform in line with our strategy to make Golf Monthly the most accessible golf media brand in the UK and Ireland.
“The website is now the leading community for serious golfers with a record high 1.2m page views and 104,000 unique users recorded during the month of January, 2012,” says Editor Michael Harris.
“It’s also home to the UK’s largest online community of serious golfers with 13,391 members on the GolfMonthly online forum. Passionate, knowledgeable and forthright with their views on all things golf, the Forum offers a connection point with true grassroots golfers of all ages and abilities. Between them, they have made over 500,000 posts.”
