Intuitive Edge Marketing Sells £10,230 Subs in December for Midlands Club

2.52pm 25th January 2022 - Management Topics

Over the last two years, Intuitive Edge Marketing (IEM) has refined the only sales & marketing service of its kind in the golf industry to great success. Like traditional agencies, IEM help clients (in their case, golf clubs) raise their profile, attract local customers, and generate leads through targeted marketing techniques.

What sets them apart, other than the high quality of content production and almost a decade of proven results, is their sales team.

The sales team, created with clubs without the funds for a proper sales resource in mind, manage all enquiries and (like all great salespeople) go the extra mile to convert the leads into paying customers.

Not only does it convert leads, but their detailed sales process provides the club useful feedback on how the local market views the club, giving decision makers a better understanding of where the club is in local golfers’ minds – unwelcoming, poor value for money, the areas it lacks quality, all the factors that can deter potential customers.

Having the ability to close sales means IEM can calculate an accurate ROI, and as a result provide clear data that can be presented to committees and boards on what their club’s marketing spend is generating.

Having detailed feedback from golfers who choose to go elsewhere allows better decisions to be made on the club’s future from those in charge of its direction.

Although the membership revenue figures with this recent client are impressive, it only scratches the surface due to what both IEM and management have learned in this short space of time.

£10,230 has been generated directly from the enquiries, but the return from the various marketing campaigns is likely to be far more than this in the form of golfers who’ve enquired and joined directly through the club. Before you even consider secondary sales from these new members.

Brandon Trimmer, Director at Intuitive Edge, says, “The sales processes we’ve developed over the last few years have added huge value to our clubs with lesser resources, both in terms of revenue and information. We’re always developing and improving what we provide for our clients, so results like these have become the norm, but it’s always a nice feeling to send that monthly report like ‘hey guys, this month we have closed new business which more than covers our entire year’s retainer. We’re always striving to do better, but we’re also very happy with where we  havegot to so far.’

For now, it’s a strong foundation to build on and take into the rest of 2022, and Megan, the club’s Office Manager, comments on the results: “The process has been great. IEM do all the legwork and keep us regularly updated on progress, which is perfect as we don’t have the time with everything else there is to deal with at the club. So far, they’ve been absolutely brilliant, just what the club needed in terms of a sales and marketing resource.”
