GUI Affinity Scheme

12.39am 7th June 2010 - Management Topics - This story was updated on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

The Golfing Union of Ireland has launched a new Affinity Scheme, which aims to generate an increase in green fee bookings for affiliated golf clubs. The scheme, operated through the GUI website www.gui.ie will provide club members with the opportunity to avail of offers of reduced green fees from all participating clubs.

Every affiliated golf club will have full control over the terms and availability on offer, e.g. limit the number of times an individual can avail of the reduced rates or limit the size of groups.

The GUI will be responsible for the administration of the Affinity Scheme through their website with club members’ using their GUI or ILGU Member Cards to avail of offers.

The ILGU has confirmed it will support the in introduction of the scheme, which will allow Clubs to extend offers to ILGU members, if so wished.

The main benefits of the Affinity Scheme:

The search options available to users allow the filtering of offers by Club, County, Province, Date and Price. The intention of the scheme is that Golf Clubs will make these offers available only to GUI & ILGU member card holders, and that they will continue to offer higher rates to non-club members.

Third party offers will also be made available on the site from existing GUI partners including Chartis, 3 and the GUI National Golf Academy.
