The Manor House rolls out new fleet of Club Car buggies

11.43am 5th May 2022 - Course Development

The Manor House Golf Club has purchased a new fleet of 50 electric golf buggies from Club Car that will elevate the playing experience at the popular Wiltshire-based venue.

Each of the lithium battery-powered Club Car Tempo buggies can be driven for 36 holes on a single charge and includes a full Visage GPS touch screen, which provides accurate distance measuring and location services.

The buggies are also fitted with dual USB ports so that golfer’s can keep their phones and devices charged, while a retractable rain cover provides added protection for clubs when out on the course during bad weather.

In a further bid to reduce its use of electricity and enhance its sustainability credentials, the club is planning to fit solar panels onto the roof of the buggy store to recharge the fleet when not in use.

Future plans for the new buggies include allowing golfers to order food from the clubhouse via the Visage touch screen during their round. Golfers will be able order food and drinks towards their end of the front nine and collect their order from the club’s Airstream half-way house.

Club manager Andrew Ryan said: “We are excited to offer golfers more choice when it comes to on-course refreshments during their round. We are trialling this now and aim to launch the service fully in the early summer months.

“This new fleet of buggies has been a great investment for our club. We are always looking for ways to boost the golfing experience here and become more sustainable. These buggies enable us to improve all of that.”
