Strong market share for PowaKaddy

12.10am 25th September 2007 - Corporate

PowaKaddy, the #1 name in powered carts, is reporting some very strong sales numbers with units sold up almost 15% on the same period last year¹. After a strong start to the year PowaKaddy’s numbers were given an even greater boost in June when the market leading brand recorded the biggest ever sales month in the company’s history.

Evidence of PowaKaddy’s sales boom this year is highlighted in a recent online consumer survey carried out by Foremost and Alliance Golf, the UK’s biggest golf retail buying group. Over 7500 consumers took part in the survey and the results were very encouraging for the market leading electric trolley brand. Over 50% of electric trolley owners surveyed use a PowaKaddy and perhaps even more revealing is that 70% of golfers who expressed a preference would buy a PowaKaddy next time around.

PowaKaddy’s success this season has been built on the continued high demand for the world’s best selling cart, the Freeway. With addition of a new product, the Freeway Digital Brake, the Freeway franchise continues to outsell the rest and sets the benchmark in electric trolley design.

Simon Homer, PowaKaddy’s sales director is delighted with the survey results and continued sales growth. “Foremost is a very big retail partner of ours so it is very encouraging to see such strong support for the PowaKaddy brand and products from its huge consumer base. To see our market share maintained above fifty percent in a growing market is very pleasing and the record month in June is a tribute to the staying power of the Freeway and recognition of all the hard work everyone is putting in at PowaKaddy.”
