Penfold Golf opens US headquarters

Iconic golf equipment brand opens US office as part of corporate growth strategy.

Penfold Golf is re-establishing its presence in the United States with the return of its headquarters to Philadelphia after a 40-year hiatus.

As part of its growth strategy in the US, Penfold has made a series of strategic partnerships to expand its reach among younger players. The brand partnered with the PGA of America in 2025 and serves as an official supporting partner of the PGA Junior League, aligning with one of golf’s leading grass-roots development programs.

Through its partnership with the PGA of America and its role as the official supporting partner of the PGA Junior League, the brand is embedding itself in the next generation of golfers; a strategic alignment with one of the most important grassroots movements in the sport.

Penfold also signed professional golfer Matt Wallace along with activating brand partnerships, including a gifting program with Los Angeles Golf Club during its championship run in the 2026 TGL SoFi Cup.

This May, Penfold will further showcase its modern evolution at the upcoming PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club. The brand will feature a curated selection of its latest products inside the Championship’s Merchandise Tent including its signature Sunday bags, backpacks, and shoe bags, as well as a brand activation with the PGA Junior League Day on Saturday of the tournament with giveaways for all junior golfers who wear their Junior League jerseys to the event.

“Penfold has always stood for quality, consistency, and a deep respect for the game. As we reintroduce the brand to the US, we’re focused on honouring that legacy while evolving how it shows up today, through product, partnerships, and a connection to the next generation of golfers,” said Gavin Perrett, CEO of Penfold Golf. “That means investing in product design and partnerships that keep us relevant in today’s evolving golf landscape.”

Penfold’s range of playing card logoed golf balls are among the brand’s best selling products today

Founded by Englishman Albert Penfold in 1927, Penfold Golf started producing a range of golf balls from its Birmingham headquarters in the UK and was still producing balls at its Ward End plant up until the 1990s.

In 1935, Penfold expanded its reach, opening a manufacturing plant in Brooklyn, USA, becoming the first golf ball manufacturer with factories in both countries. Penfold Golf Ltd continues to market and distribute Penfold branded golf balls, gloves and clothing from its head office in Dudley, UK.

Penfold’s current product line-up boasts a range of accessories, including golf balls, hats, shoe bags, backpacks, Sunday golf bags, clubhead covers and ball markers, all of which are available to buy direct from penfoldgolf.net.
