Spanish Golf Federation HQ joins Toptracer Range revolution

9.45am 13th May 2019 - Corporate

Centro Nacional de Golf, home to the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, is set to become the latest golf venue to install Toptracer Range technology.

Located just north of Madrid, Centro Nacional de Golf opened as a public course in 2006 to provide a golf hub to the community with the aim of promoting the growth of the game across the country. The course has been played by some of the world’s best golfers, recently hosting the Spanish Open for the second time in April 2018.

Toptracer Range combines technology and fun to transform driving ranges into entertainment destinations for players of all skill levels, and Centro Nacional de Golf is now set to take its practice facilities to the next level with the introduction of the tech in 40 bays at its range.

Toptracer tracks the shots of the best players in the world on the PGA Tour and European Tour, and golfers of all ages and abilities are now able to share that experience in bays at driving ranges the world over. Using cameras mounted around the facility and 21-inch monitors found at each hitting bay, Toptracer Range technology tracks and displays an array of data for each shot – including distance, speed, launch angle, shape and more. Data is instantly recorded and displayed on the screen through a player profile that can continuously be accessed through the Toptracer Range community app.

Toptracer Range has been introduced at close to 80 leading venues across Europe to date, with Le Golf National, PGA Catalunya and Wentworth among the latest high-profile venues to adopt the technology.

Speaking about the company’s latest partnership, Toptracer’s European General Manager, Paul Williams, said: “We are delighted to be working with Centro Nacional de Golf as we continue to increase our presence in Spain. We have a shared passion and devotion to growing the game and encouraging golfers of all ages and abilities to participate in the sport. Toptracer Range helps to facilitate a golfer’s first step into the game as well as providing an excellent practice tool for the more experienced player.”
