SGM offers Two-for-one

12.15am 5th November 2003 - Corporate

Within a month of the launch, golf clubs in Duns, Banchory, Niddrie Castle, Bishopbriggs and Hamilton are amongst the first to benefit from two brand new mowers for the price of one – a new concept in machinery sales from SGM Golf. Part of the £15m SGM Group, Scottish Grass Machinery’s specialist golf division, SGM Golf has already secured £600,000 worth of business with its new sales concept. Including all maintenance, servicing and breakdowns, the 2 for 1 deal offers the customer a fixed monthly payment for 6 years with a brand new replacement machine after 3 years.
Brian Goudie, manager, SGM Golf said, “No matter how good the quality of any mower, just like cars they begin to deteriorate at a faster rate after 3 years. It makes sense, therefore, for our customers to replace the 3 year old machine with a brand new model. With a considerable decrease in maintenance and repair costs, our customers receive greater value for money and can better control their budgets with a fixed price over the lifetime of the contract.
Alistair Connell, course manager, Hamilton Golf Club, who recently secured a Jacobsen AR250 semi-rough finishing mower, a Jacobsen LF3800 Fairway mower and a GreensKing VI under the new deal said: “Escalating costs of machine repairs can put immense pressure on Golf Club budgets. This new deal from SGM Golf allows club treasurers to keep budgets under a tighter control and decreases the strain on member subscriptions. Treasurers now know exactly outgoing costs per month over the year and I believe this is the way forward for private member clubs.”
The 2 for 1 offer includes all Jacobsen Golf machinery, for further information please contact Brian Goudie on 01383 413333.
