7.55am 14th June 2007 - Corporate

Five courses at the hotel chain, QHotels, are now selling green fees online with Online Teetimes Ltd (OTL).

Aldwark Manor (York), Forest Pines (Scunthorpe), Hellidon Lakes (Daventry), Telford Golf & Country Club (Telford), and The Westerwood (Glasgow) are all now giving golfers the chance to book a round online – via OTL’s website www.TeeTimes.co.uk and its other innovative tee time distribution platforms.

Online Teetimes Ltd, based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, is set to become the UK’s leading online tee time provider, with over 100 clubs signed up to use its services and a further 100 expected to be online by the end of the summer.

Pat Stanford, of OTL, said, “We’re delighted that QHotels appreciate the enormous benefits that selling green fees online gives to a golf club. The courses are of a very high quality and give our consumers the opportunity of playing at some fantastic venues at exceptional prices.”

OTL has a proven tee time distribution model which incorporates selling commission-free green fees for clubs on its own website www.TeeTimes.co.uk; sending branded emails to the biggest golfer databases in the UK; providing bespoke tee time booking engines on the UK’s most heavily-visited golf websites; and sending weekly special offers by email to its own registered users.

Nic Oldham, group director of golf with QHotels, said, “We see online tee time booking as a very positive move in the marketplace and we are delighted to be working work with such a forward-thinking company.

“Online Teetimes Ltd have a proven track record in successfully selling online green fees for clubs and talk to – and listen to – their partners and end users.”

Pat Stanford added, “Putting tee times in front of golfers through a variety of distribution tactics is critical in helping our clubs grow their visitor green fee sales.

“It is easy to implement and securing just an additional fourball a day has the potential for any club to bring in an extra £30,000 of revenue per annum.”
