Callaway Golf Europe has launched ‘Play With A Legendठ’ a major pan-European promotion aimed at encouraging golfers throughout Europe to try out Callaway Golf’s extensive 2002 range of products.

“The title of ‘Legend’ sits easily on the shoulders of Severiano Ballesteros, who is the figurehead of this campaign.” said Patrice Hutin, managing director of Callaway Golf Europe. Seve won 3 Opens, 2 U.S. Masters, and 88 tournaments worldwide.

At the end of the promotion, 14 lucky winners will be drawn – one from each participating European country – and invited to join Seve at the San Roque Club on 14th and 15th June 2002. The prize includes VIP travel, accommodation and hospitality, a special golf clinic by the great man himself, followed by 18 holes of golf on this world-renowned golf course. Seve will play 2 holes with each winner. There are also superb prizes for the runners-up.

The ‘Play With A Legendठ’ promotion will run from 11th February until 10th May 2002. Many European golf magazines will carry inserts with entry forms throughout February and March.

“With Callaway Golf’s most extensive and innovative product line-up yet it is now even more important than ever to encourage consumers to trial the different Callaway Golf products available and choose the club that best suits them,” said Chas Sharp, marketing manager of Callaway Golf Europe. “Play With A Legendठis designed to encourage this trial and we are really looking forward to working with our preferred retail partners on such an exciting promotion, one we believe will help cement the legendary status of the Big Bertha line of products.”
