New grip from Eaton

9.00am 5th July 2002 - Corporate

Eaton Corporation’s Golf Grip Division, the manufacturers of Golf Pride grips, has launched a new Whisperà” ultra-soft, one-piece, slip-on golf grip.

The company says that the Whisper grip, the softest grip on the market, is also highly shock absorbing, making it an ideal product for golfers suffering from joint pain and/or ‘Golfer’s Elbow’ (medial epiconylitis), a painful condition affecting the inside of the elbow resulting from over-use of elbow and forearm muscles.

The new ultra-soft Whisper grip is the result of years of research and product testing. It is manufactured utilising an innovative process combining an open-cell polyurethane Over-Wrap with a high-grade rubber underlisting. The former provides a soft, subtle feel whereas the latter aids shock absorption and helps maintain consistent grip dimensions, the benefits of both materials combining to create a comfortable, moisture-resistant, light-weight grip.

“We developed the Whisper in response to requests from members of the golfing community who wanted, but could not find, a high-quality grip that was gentle on their hands but provided high playability,” said Raymond J. Johnson, general manager of Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. “Whisper provides greater comfort which enables you to play better and enjoy the game more.”

The new Whisper grip conforms to R & A and USGA Rules and is an easy-to-install one-piece, slip-on grip. It is available from all Golf Pride stockists.

Eaton’s Golf Grip Division is the world’s largest manufacturer of golf club grips, with manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities on five continents. The division’s Golf Pride brand is globally recognized as the number one choice in grips among tour players, competitive amateur golfers, club manufacturers and club repairmen.
