A team of passionate golfers from popular electric golf trolley firm Hill Billy are swapping their clubs for their bike and their golf apparel for goat costumes in a virtual cycle challenge that will see them cover the distance between the brand’s headquarters in Kent and the venue for The 145th Open Championship, Royal Troon Golf Club – all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hill Billy – manufacturer of lightweight, robust and simple-to-use electric trolleys since 1992 – has announced its ten-strong team will take it in turns to complete long stints on an exercise bike in warm temperatures as they look to complete 425 miles within 24 hours in a 6ft, fluffy, Hill Billy goat costume. Wearing a costume that honours the brand’s logo, the Hill Billy team are set to start the charity challenge on Thursday 7th July, cycling through the night in a special gym being created for the occasion, before finishing up on the Friday, just days before action gets underway at The 145th  Open Championship.

Hill Billy will be posting updates across social media in the weeks leading up to and during the challenge so can be followed on Twitter @HillBilly_Golf or on Facebook

Donations would also be incredibly gratefully received so if you would like to help us with this mammoth challenge please visit our Just Giving page here.
