Direct Golf's new Farnborough Superstore

The newest additions to the Direct Golf UK retail portfolio were inundated with customers rushing to take advantage of some great offers over the grand opening weekends in both Reading and Farnborough.

Bruce Hunter, Store Manager at Reading, commented: “It was a fantastic opening weekend. The store was packed from opening to closing both days and it was great to see so many golfers taking advantage of some great deals on all the latest golf equipment.”

The impressive 5,000 sq foot high-street Reading store and 4,000 sq foot Farnborough store both boast start-of-the-art Global Play golf simulators giving local golfers the ability to demo all the latest equipment on-site and benefit from Direct Golf’s full custom-fitting service offered by its PGA Professional staff. With indoor putting greens, specialist clothing sections, ladies and junior areas plus excellent parking, the new superstores are perfectly equipped to epitomise Direct Golf UK’s ‘total customer satisfaction’ pledge.

Reading Store Manager Hunter went on to say: “The overwhelming response from the public was that it is great to have a DGUK store in Reading with huge stocks of all the latest equipment from the leading brands, some great deals as well as great service.”

Grand openings at Reading and Farnborough follow recent store openings in Peterborough, Milton Keynes and also the acquisition of the Cambridge Golf and Conference Centre.

Speaking after the successful new store openings, Neil Bell, Managing Director for Direct Golf UK, commented: “It’s incredible to see so many people turn out in force at our opening weekends. We have been busy rolling out our expansion plans and judging by the queues it demonstrates that golfers appreciate Direct Golf UK’s mix of World Class customer service, huge stocks allied with the best prices in the UK.”

Bell added: “We have also run season opening weekends back at the Peterborough and Milton Keynes stores now the clocks have gone forward and the weather has improved.

I was overwhelmed by the turnout from our loyal customers at both stores when we officially opened doors during arctic conditions in December and again at the recent new season launches where customers took another opportunity to take advantage of the great deals on offer now that spring is here.”
