The Danish software company GolfBox A/S has just signed a 3-year agreement to support the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) with tournament software.
“We are thrilled to support EDGA in the years to come. Their passion towards assisting individuals with impairment to enjoy this great game is something that we are proud to be a part of,” says GolfBox CEO Christian Faergemann.
Christian Faergemann adds, “Our tournament software will assist the EDGA to ease the administration of many tournaments across Europe and bring more attention to the individual tournaments.”
President of EDGA Tony Bennett says, “EDGA approves tournaments which are played either as a pan disability format, in human handicap categories or at the elite level, and all form a part of our growing schedule of events. We see the integration of the excellent GolfBox software and the passion of the people behind the company as another important step to further professionalize the tournament offer. The implementation of live scoring will help ensure that fans know exactly where each player stands and the competitors will clearly see what they need to do as they approach the final holes.”
The list of tournament software customers is growing at a steady pace for GolfBox A/S, which is clearly visible by the number of tournaments administrated by GolfBox. In 2014 the number was close to 36,000, but in 2015 to this date it is approaching 65,000 tournaments.
