C-Groove Family welcomes ‘The Valerie’

12.10am 19th September 2007 - Corporate

YES! Golf, the leader in grooved putter technology, is adding a new mallet putter to its line-up for 2007 – ‘the Valerie’. The C-Groove Valerie made its debut on the PGA Tour during the Players Championship, where the runner-up used a prototype and rolled in four straight birdies on the back nine of the final round to climb into second place.

“The Valerie putter, like all our putters, was designed with input from our Tour players,” said Francis Ricci, president and CEO of YES! Golf worldwide. “We work closely with the Tour players on new product development to ensure each product has the Tour look and feel. Since the Players Championship, we have received many calls from golfers looking for the Valerie in golf shops. The putter is a classic mallet design, giving it a wide appeal among golfers of all ability levels.”

The C-Groove Valerie putter comes standard at 2.5˚ loft and 72˚ lie with 2˚ flat or upright. It is available in 32″-37,” and comes in right-hand only.

YES! Putters are currently used by over 200 Tour professionals worldwide and have won 12 times on the worldwide Tours this year. The C-Grooves are specifically engineered to enhance and maximize the over-rolling motion of the ball. Yes! Putters roll the ball sooner and truer resulting in more control, accuracy and consistency. There are 25 models of YES! C-Groove putters on the market today.

In the British Isles, Yes! Golf is currently pursuing an active programme of setting up C-Groove Custom Centres at golf clubs and selected retailers. With a growing emphasis on custom-fitting for sets of golf clubs, the putter market is comparatively under-serviced on this level. Yes! Golf is an exception, however, in that the company was one of the first putter specialists to collaborate with biomechanics experts to define, quantify and prove the unique efficiency of the C-Groove concept.

Its partner in this endeavour is The Quintic Consultancy, whose MD and chief biomechanist is Dr Paul Hurrion, whose putting knowledge and proprietary software research has made this package the most effective putter customization proposition available anywhere.

Expect to pay around £127 at retail.
