Bag Boy launch in UK and Ireland

8.40am 10th May 2005 - Corporate

Bag Boy, for more than 50 years America’s leading manufacturer of trolleys, bags and travel covers, has been launched in the UK and Ireland, under an exclusive distribution deal with TGI Golf.
The brand, famous for its distinctive three-wheel push trolleys, innovative bags and durable travel covers, received a phenomenal response at the recent London Golf Show where its products were unveiled to UK consumers.
“We were at the London Golf Show purely to raise consumer awareness,” said Eddie Reid, Bag Boy brand manager, “but there was an overwhelming reaction from golfers. People loved the fact that the three-wheel push trolleys are innovative and so easy to use, and that there is great attention to detail and functionality in the bags. All of the Bag Boy products have a story to tell and consumers were genuinely buying into the brand.”
Although Bag Boy products have only been available for less than a month, sales are already more than 100% above target.
“The reason we have moved into distribution was to provide our members with an exclusive product that couldn‘t be undercut on price by our competitors,” continued Eddie Reid. “The fact that it is one of the top-selling brands in America and is also hugely popular in Europe and the Far East, strengthened the case for us to bring it to the UK and Ireland.”
The Bag Boy EZ Fold 12 three-wheel push trolley has already attracted a great deal of attention and has been featured in recent issues of Today’s Golfer, Golf Monthly and Golf World magazines.
