Set in the Crondon Valley and situated on land that was once the hunting ground of King Henry VIII, Crondon Park Golf Club has taken delivery of twelve customised E-Z-GO golf cars. The club is the holder of the record for the longest golf hole in the world. The par 6, 18th hole measures 860 yards.
The idea behind the customised fleet comes from the club’s decision to provide their members and visitors with a golfing experience that other clubs cannot match. The unique result is 12 golf cars, each individually customised in a different colour.
“At Crondon Park it’s our aim to be constantly improving services and facilities for our customers,” said John Clark, the club’s marketing director. “That means providing the most unique and definitive golfing experience possible. We want to give our customers what other clubs cannot provide and it is for this reason that the decision was taken to introduce a fleet of specially finished golf cars.
“After researching the possibility of a customised fleet, we discovered that only Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products would be prepared to undertake the challenge. They are handily placed just across the Essex border in Ipswich and the service and back up support that we have received has been excellent. They also made the purchase easier for us, by organising the finance package through their financial partners ING Lease. We are extremely satisfied with the package they have provided, and we are sure that our customers will feel the same.”
