Green Grass Sales Boost For New Motocaddy Range

2.54pm 24th April 2024 - Corporate

Motocaddy, the world’s leading electric trolley brand, has announced a blistering start to the year following positive reaction from PGA Professionals up and down the country to the new range of trolleys and bags that offers attractive price points and game-changing features for every golfer.

Sales figures show Motocaddy more than 35% up across green grass accounts compared to the same period last year and pre-orders a record 23% up on 2023, thanks largely to the upgraded M-Series models and the brand-new entry level SE trolley.

“This year’s Motocaddy electric trolley range is the best I’ve seen thanks to the features it provides across a number of different models,” said Richard Harber, Head Professional at Rushmore Golf Club in Wiltshire. “The look of the new products, especially the new M-Series trolleys and Dry-Series bag, really provides shelf appeal and grabs customer attention as soon as they come in the shop with the different price points allowing me to offer something to everyone. The SE electric model is the perfect entry-level trolley, and it’s already proved incredibly popular,” he added.

The benefit of having the trolley industry’s only B2B online trade portal  (pictured top) has also been seen as a huge advantage to Motocaddy stockists, who are able to place orders on the 24/7 platform outside of conventional office hours.

Launched last summer to great acclaim, the user-friendly system has over 800 UK retailers registered and has so far seen more than 4,000 orders shipped. Of the total number of orders placed, a quarter were outside normal office hours, and more than 10% were registered over a weekend.

“The reaction from the trade to the new range has been fantastic and we feel like we have great momentum heading into what we all hope is a drier next few months,” said Motocaddy UK & Ireland Sales Director, Steve Morris. “The B2B site has been a game-changer. Those registered have access to in-depth product information, live stock availability and the ability to order whenever is convenient to them. The number of positive conversations we’ve had with stockists has blown us away, and it’s definitely had a really positive effect on orders,” he added.

One retailer who has taken advantage of the B2B portal is Mike Ovett, Head Professional at Pyecombe Golf Club. “It’s an incredibly easy platform to use and as well as placing orders whenever we need to, the other features are vital when running a busy pro shop – like stock management in terms of looking at previous orders and tracking the status of incoming products. Plus, it allows me to keep an eye on my account with everything easily accessible through the dashboard,” he added.

In addition to the online portal, a team of Customer Support advisors are on hand at the Motocaddy National Call-Centre, as well as seven full-time Motocaddy Territory Sales Managers covering the UK and Ireland visiting and supporting accounts every day. A Network of 300+ Authorised Service Agents, backed by a National Repair Centre, also provides help to customers if needed.
