On the eve of the 80th edition of The Masters Hole19, the platform that connects the world of golf, has announced it has signed Matt Fitzpatrick as its first brand ambassador.
The current world number 43 and 2015 British Masters champion will be the face of Hole19. Matt will use Hole19 to help boost the use of technology within the game at an amateur level by using it as his exclusive digital app within the golfing space. The partnership will see Matt regularly share his golfing experiences on the platform, be it rounds, videos or pictures. Matt will also be working directly with Hole19 to connect fellow golfers around the world.
Capitalising on the skyrocketing reputation of one of the hottest prospects in world golf, Hole19 has signed a one year deal with Matt, which kicks-off this week at the Masters, the first of golf’s four major championships to be held in 2016.
Matt will start the partnership by posting through the Hole19 app to his social media platforms today on his practice round. During the competition, and because on-course use of technology is strictly prohibited in the professional game, Matt’s caddy will share detailed information and analysis on the round at the end of each day so fans can see exactly where each hole was won and lost.
Commenting on the partnership, Matt said “Joining the growing Hole19 community is something I’m really excited about this season! I’m very keen on simple tools to track my stats and engage with fellow golfers across the globe, and Hole19 is the perfect platform for that.”
Anthony Douglas, founder, Hole19, said: “Matt has one of the best fairway accuracies on Tour and is everything the Hole19 community represents – a new generation of tech-savvy golfers, keen on tracking their stats. Having him on-board isn’t just about getting a unique insight into how professional golfers play the game. It represents a much bigger step change in terms of how the golf ecosystem and technology work better together. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to sharing many exciting moments with him in the coming years.”
Matt will be posting content throughout the Masters throughout the week across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. He will be also be sharing his stats, images and also some competition prizes. Following the Masters, Matt will continue to be an active presence online giving fans an exclusive insight into the life of a professional golfer. Fans can download the Hole19 app to keep up to date with Matt, while his progress can also be followed on Twitter (@Hole19golf), Facebook (Hole19 Golf) and Instagram (Hole19golf).
