New irrigation sprinklers from John Deere

7.16am 2nd June 2009 - Corporate

John Deere Golf Irrigation has introduced a new range of sprinkler heads to its growing irrigation component range, designed specifically for UK and Irish golf and amenity turf applications.

“Since entering the European golf irrigation market in early 2008, John Deere has continued to invest in the expansion of our product offering to greenkeepers and groundsmen,” says John Deere Limited’s product marketing manager Henry Bredin. “This new range increases our ability to provide competitive irrigation products and solutions to a wider range of golf and sports turf customers, as well as to the amenity and commercial irrigation sectors.”

The range includes five new heads designed for more precise and economic irrigation of small golf course tees and other commercial sports turf areas where a shorter throw of water is required.

These provide a wide range of flow and radius options, and all internal components are easily accessible for service. Two of the new heads fit 18mm (¾in) inlets and three fit 25mm (1in) inlets, with radius coverage from 5.5 to 22.6m and flow-rates of 1.9 to 104 litres/min depending on model. Each head can be easily adjusted to provide full or part circle coverage as required.

John Deere is the official golf course equipment supplier to the PGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour, and the only worldwide manufacturer to offer irrigation, domestic and commercial groundscare equipment, utility vehicles, compact tractors and finance, all under one brand name.
