Southwest Greens and Nicklaus Design have signed a three year partnership to collaborate on the design and installation of synthetic golf greens ranging from 50 m² private projects to 500 m² commercial golf greens comparable to what is found on championship calibre golf courses.
Southwest Greens is a global leader in the sales, design, installation and maintenance of synthetic golf solutions. With 20,000 projects installed around the world since 1996, the company has an unprecedented track record. Southwest Greens has a worldwide sales and installation presence that offers a variety of concepts for residential use, golf courses, and the leisure industry. It’s for these reasons that Nicklaus Design is now working with them to offer the world an exclusive line of synthetic golf greens.
Founded by a golf legend, Nicklaus Design is known around the world as the leader in golf course design. Its record is unrivalled in creating the most challenging, sophisticated, and memorable golf courses open for play. The Nicklaus name is synonymous with greatness in golf, and the firm that bears his name is considered the master of golf course design.
The companies unveiled a new Golden Bear synthetic turf, exclusively available through Southwest Greens and its exclusive turf supplier, Challenger Turf. This new turf was developed to provide a premium product — with minimal maintenance and maximum performance — to its customers. With the Golden Bear trademark on each green, the product offering is certain to meet the exacting standards of Nicklaus Design.
“Bringing together the two leaders of their respective industries was a natural and logical step” says Kevin Holinaty, CEO, Southwest Greens EMEA. “With the addition of our exclusive Golden Bear turf line, and the expertise and brand recognition that Nicklaus Design provides, we offer golf courses, golf academies, residential customers, and resorts and hotels a state-of-the-art product that no other company in today’s marketplace can provide.”
“Growing our relationship with Southwest Greens was a natural evolution to the relationship we’ve built and positive results we’ve been delivering to our shared clients,” says Jack Nicklaus II, president of Nicklaus Design. “By marrying the collective expertise of our design staff with Southwest Greens’ cutting-edge technology, we are able to produce high-quality synthetic greens that require minimal maintenance and provide an enjoyable playing experience at home or at a golf facility.”
Customers that sign up and purchase a Southwest Greens by Nicklaus Design golf green within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) before 30th April 2009, will receive the Nicklaus Design services at no extra charge. The product comes complete with the Southwest Greens Pro System installation package, a framed design blueprint, and the Golden Bear logo installed into the fringe surface.
