Club Car, the world’s leading supplier of golf cars and utility vehicles, has signed a National Account agreement with Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, the latest and most impressive of Portugal’s golf course developments.
As part of the six year agreement, Monte Rei has already taken delivery of Europe’s first fleet of Club Car’s Precedent Champions Edition electric golf cars, numbering 50, and 7 CarryAll 232 utility vehicles.
Monte Rei opens this summer. The first of two championship golf courses is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design meandering over 70 hectares of gently rolling hills and valleys with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean to the south and a back drop of the dramatic Serra do Caldeirao mountains to the north.
Kevin Hart, Club Car’s national account manager visited Monte Rei earlier this year and was impressed by his visit. “I was staggered by the attention to detail at Monte Rei,” he said. “The team there are clearly focused on creating one of the best golf courses in Europe and they are well on the way to achieving it. The next fleet of 50 Precedent Champion Electric golf cars will be delivered once the second course is opened. Jose Sabino, managing director of GolfeJardim – Club Car’s official Portuguese distributor – will support the Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, and is delighted to be working with them. “Monte Rei is a already showing signs of becoming one of the most impressive golf courses in the world, not just on the Algarve, and we are delighted to be part of their team,” he said.
