ProLink Holdings Corp. (OTC BB: PLKH), the world’s largest provider of GPS golf course management systems, has expanded its relationship with Elumina Iberica, S.A., its distribution partner for Europe, to include key growth markets in Asia.
The new, five-year exclusive agreement covers China, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand, and includes a minimum system purchase requirement equating to 26 courses (as defined in the agreement) during the next 12 months. This minimum will maintain Elumina’s exclusivity, and annual order threshold will increase in subsequent years during the agreement period. Elumina anticipates placing a 500-unit initial order, providing sufficient inventory to accommodate 15 courses.
Lawrence Bain, president and CEO of ProLink Holdings Corp., commented, “The tremendous success Elumina has had in Europe, securing commitments to place the ProLink system in 50 courses throughout Spain, the U.K. and France, including some of the leading luxury courses in Europe, has provided us with confidence in Elumina’s ability to match this success in Asia. During the past year, Elumina surpassed its minimums in Europe and has demonstrated their commitment as a world-class partner in Europe, UK, and the Middle East. Elumina has demonstrated an ability to build relationships with top-tier courses and we are confident they can leverage their relationships to further penetrate and gain market share on an international basis.”
The ProLink system has resulted in significant interest from advertisers in Europe, including major banks, airlines, and automobile companies. Advertising has converted the installation of ProLink GPS systems from an expense to a profit centre for golf courses, driving increased interest from golf courses. Elumina management has expressed confidence in their ability to drive similar success in Asia.
Mark Smart, president of Elumina, added, “The ProLink GPS system represents a clear differentiator for any golf course customer, allowing them to provide golfers with an enhanced experience. We have experienced tremendous success in providing this system to our European golf course contacts, and we look forward to expanding this relationship in Asia.”
