The golf course construction, management and consultancy firm 360 Golf unveiled three new products for the European golf industry at Harrogate Week 2006.
In a press conference at the BTME/Clubhouse Show, 360 Golf’s Peter Townson revealed how the firm had developed the new products in response to the specific challenges faced by golf clubs as they enter the 2006 golf season.
The products are:
- 360 Golf Health Check
A visit or series of visits to a golf club to review its financial position, business plan and/or golf course plan, helping it to identify the critical issues that it will face in 2006 and the solutions that will need to be implemented to solve those exact issues. - 360 Golf Coursework Support
In which 360 Golf’s golf course design and construction team provide on-site support services to a golf club’s existing greenkeeping team as they design, remodel or renovate a course. This includes planning, training and, if needs be, ongoing personal supervision. - 360 Golf Network Improved
The highly successful golf network is being refreshed for 2006. The improvements will make the Network easier to use and give non member clubs more reasons to join. 360 Golf promise to make the joining fee a better investment.
The Network is 360 Golf’s first product to target the golfing consumer as well as the golf club or operator. In early 2006 the revised 360 Golf Network website will give members of Network golf clubs some improved online tools, enabling them to derive more value from their golf club membership.
Ultimately the geographical spread of clubs will extend throughout the United Kingdom and into mainland Europe.
“As clubs enter the 2006 golf season,” said Peter Townson, “they are facing some common challenges. Amongst them are selling and retaining memberships, balancing the books, making course improvements and bringing their operational teams up to date – all within a limited budget.
“We’ve designed these three new products specifically to help improve the life of the modern secretary, club manager or head greenkeeper. They are the first concrete results of our recent decision to merge two companies into one.
“When we decided to bring Barrelfield Golf and Barrelfield Construction together under one brand, it was with the intention of offering better value to our customers by means of better shared resources and better teamwork within our company. We knew that we would be better able to launch new services under a single brand, which we called 360 Golf.
“Our range of services remains as wide as before but we feel that highlighting these three products will help people understand what we are about.”
