Golf Club Secretaries and Managers are being urged to watch the BBC Television Crimewatch programme on Wednesday, 27 January starting at 9.00p.m. At least 40 clubs have suffered recent thefts.

One of golf’s oldest organisations has announced that it is to change its name after 74 years to reflect the evolving role of golf club secretaries. The Golf Club Managers’ Association represents approximately 65 per cent of Clubs in the UK.

The Standing Committee on Greenkeepers’ Salaries and Conditions of Employment has been reformed with a new membership. The Committee sets the recommended minimum starting salaries and conditions of service for all greenkeepers in the UK
