Verdura Resort in Sicily has been named as the number one choice for female golfers in Golf World’s latest rankings for elite European golf resorts.
The updated version of Golf World’s ‘Top 100 Resorts in Continental Europe remains an influential barometer within the industry and Verdura Resort has maintained its coveted place inside the top ten.
Ranked seventh overall – and number one in Italy – the resort came out on top for female groups for its ‘scenery, spa, beach and Insta-worthy golf’.
Its overall ranking looks set to climb in the next edition when the resort’s second 18-hole layout reopens next summer following a major renovation programme.
Verdura also claimed another title as it was selected as the top golf resort for beach breaks for its ‘peerless beachside setting’.
