Pravets Golf will be the 2015 venue for the European Golf Association Senior Men’s Team Championships, hosted by the Bulgarian Golf Association. This major European Amateur event will take place at the stunning Pravets Golf & Spa Resort from 01 to 05 September 2015.

Alan Rogut, Braemar Golf’s Director of Golf at Pravets commented: “We are delighted to have been entrusted by the Bulgarian Golf Association and European Golf Association to host and deliver another of their high profile events. It is an honour to host amateur golfers from all across Europe and showcase what Bulgarian Golf has to offer”.

Pravets being awarded this prestigious event is the latest in a line of high profile events which the golf club and resort has being selected to host. Having successfully hosted the UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe for the last three years, 2014 will also see the playing of the European Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championships at the Braemar Golf managed Pravets Golf Course. This tournament attracts top level amateur golfers from across Europe, with an expected field of 144 players vying for the title from 03 – 07 June.

Also in 2014, the European Golf Association Men’s Team Championships is to be held at Pravets from 21 to 25 October.

Keith Haslam, the Managing Director of Braemar Golf added “Pravets really is proving to be a magnificent tournament and event venue, comparable with the best in Europe. Not only with a challenging golf course that is presented to the highest levels and a practice facility that any European Tour event would be delighted with, but the rest of the resort is also a huge asset and factor as to why Pravets is being chosen again and again to host such events. Much credit must also go to the owners, Alan and the whole Pravets team who put on a fantastic event and welcome”.

Pravets Golf Club has fast gained a reputation within the Bulgarian golfing fraternity for the quality and condition of the golf course. The club is the centre-piece of an excellent 4-star resort that offers a 240-key hotel, spa, conference, leisure and a host of other activities. Situated only 40 minutes from the Capital City Sofia, the resort is a popular weekend retreat and it is now gaining attention from international visitors.
