Diamond Country Club renews with European Tour Destinations

11.11am 18th December 2020 - Travel

European Tour Destinations has announce that Diamond Country Club in Austria has extended its affiliation with the network.

Members of the network since 2012, the venue, which is located just outside Vienna, has hosted numerous tournaments on the European Tour, including the Lyoness Open from 2012 to 2017 and the first tournament back after the COVID-19 break in 2020, the Austrian Open.

The venue’s centrepiece is undoubtedly the 18-hole Diamond course, complemented by the Diamond Country course and 9-hole Diamond Park course, all situated around the resort’s stunning 10-hectare lake.

Diamond Golf Academy boasts superb practice facilities, one-on-one golf coaching, plus performance analysis using the latest technology.

Evolution has been at the heart of the resort in recent years, with the addition of an on-site restaurant, The Boathouse, and in 2015, the development of 42 luxury apartments on site, making it even more attractive as a tournament host and destination for golf breaks.

The introduction of a new spa is set to increase the appeal of a resort that is growing in popularity.

Diamond Country Club’s status was confirmed by Golf World’s influential Top 100 rankings in 2020, which placed it as the 69th best resort in Continental Europe.

Ian Knox, Head of European Tour Destinations, said: “We are delighted that one of our established venues, Diamond Country Club, is continuing its long-standing partnership with us. Alongside a rich history of hosting tournaments, the team at Diamond is continuously striving for excellence and we look forward to supporting them as they work towards their goals for the years ahead.”

Stephan Vogl, General Manager at Diamond Country Club, said: “We are extremely pleased to have renewed our agreement with European Tour Destinations. Since the beginning of our partnership, we have utilised their expertise to develop our venue and have seen significant growth and progression throughout all areas. We look forward to continuing into 2021 and beyond.”
