Catalonia Tourist Board will join Elevate Golf 2026 as a Premium Partner with the 2031 Ryder Cup host region showcasing its golf tourism offering to tour operators from key markets around the world.
The partnership will give Catalonia a prominent presence throughout the invitation-only business and networking event, which takes place from October 25-30 in Northern Ireland and St Andrews.
As part of the programme, Catalonia will deliver a presentation to attending tour operators in the Fairmont St Andrews auditorium on Thursday, October 29. The session will highlight the region’s extensive golf courses and the opportunities created by the award of the 2031 Ryder Cup to Camiral near Girona, in Costa Brava.
Catalonia is home to 40 golf courses across a varied landscape that stretches from the Mediterranean coast to the Pyrenees. Its golf offering encompasses four distinct regions: Costa Brava-Girona, Costa Barcelona, Costa Daurada-Tarragona, and the Pyrenees and Terres de Lleida. Together, they give tour operators the opportunity to create itineraries combining established courses and resorts with beaches, vineyards, mountain landscapes and internationally renowned gastronomy.
Catalonia is also home to six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including masterpieces by Antoni Gaudí, remarkable Roman and Romanesque heritage, and unique cultural landmarks that reflect the region’s rich history and outstanding cultural legacy.
The region will move firmly into golf’s international spotlight in 2031 when Camiral hosts the Ryder Cup between Europe and the United States, providing Catalonia with an important platform to build its profile as a golf destination and introduce international visitors to the breadth of golf available across the region.
The Costa Brava has one of Catalonia’s strongest concentrations of golf, including Camiral, Empordà Golf Resort, Golf de Pals, Peralada Golf, TorreMirona Golf Club and Club de Golf d’Aro Mas Nou.
Around Barcelona, golf can be combined with the architecture, culture and restaurants of the Catalan capital, as well as the vineyards of Penedès and Alella. Courses in the area include Real Club de Golf El Prat, Club de Golf Barcelona, Club de Golf Vallromanes, Golf Montanyà and Club de Golf Llavaneras.
Farther south, the Costa Daurada combines Infinitum and Golf Costa Daurada with Mediterranean resorts, the Roman heritage of Tarragona and renowned wine appellations such as DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant and DO Conca de Barberà.
Moving inland, Aravell Golf, Fontanals Golf Club and Golf Lleida & Country Club provide a contrasting golf experience among the mountains, forests, vineyards and open plains of the Pyrenees and Terres de Lleida.

Elevate Golf 2026 will bring together a carefully selected group of international golf tour operators with 230 premium golf courses, resorts and accommodation providers.
The event will begin with a familiarisation experience in Northern Ireland, where delegates will experience the destination and its golf before travelling by private flight to St Andrews for two days of pre-scheduled business appointments, presentations and networking at Fairmont St Andrews.
Catalonia joins an established group of Elevate Golf partners supporting the third edition of the event, which sold out seven months in advance.
