12.20am 8th June 2004 - Travel

The new Golfing Elite Club provides its members with a host of benefits that include access to many of the world’s most exclusive courses, special discounts on luxury golf hotels and resorts, a concierge service helping members to book tee times, access to hundreds of VIP airport lounges and an extensive range of insurance cover – all at a surprisingly affordable price.
“Golfing Elite is a brand new club formed by golfers for golfers,” said company spokesman Stuart McCreddie, who has spent 10 years working in the golf travel business. “It has been specifically designed to make life simple for the travelling golfer. We can help members to plan their trip and to gain access to many of the world’s most prestigious courses. We can obtain preferential rates at a large number of leading golf resorts and also offer a full range of insurance cover on the odd occasion that something does go wrong.
“We like to think that we offer a combination of services that cannot be found elsewhere,” he added. “We make planning your golf requirements as simple as possible and don‘t charge the earth to do it.”
Golfing Elite was launched at the Volvo PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club. It is a division of The Executive Club International, which has over 25 years experience operating within the travel business. The club is part of the Collinson Group which includes ICLP, Priority Pass ™, Columbus Direct Insurance, Lounge Pass, IAPA and TravelPlan. Together, they serve over one million travellers worldwide.
