Clinton Norris, Sales Manager, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club says, “It is an honour to welcome The Ladies European Tour to our fairways, for what will be a milestone event in Abu Dhabi. The whole of the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club community is eagerly awaiting the arrival of some of the best female players in the world, for what will be a tremendous event with world-class golf and luxury hospitality in abundance.”

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club was The Arabian Gulf’s first beachfront course, offering a unique setting of beauty and tranquillity against the stunning backdrop of the Abu Dhabi skyline. The unique setting a distinctive golf experience, surrounded by local wildlife, including mountain gazelles, dolphins and the protected hawksbill turtles which nests on the beaches at Saadiyat.

Davide Lantos, Ladies European Tour Sport Director says, “The stunning, Gary Player-designed oceanfront course at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is in perfect condition for the forthcoming Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open and the Ladies European Tour players cannot wait to tee up in the LET’s first tournament in Abu Dhabi next month. Very few adjustments were required to the par-72 course, which will be set up at 6,337 yards / 5,795 metres for the championship. With the perfect climate and facilities for golf, I am confident that our members will have a really enjoyable experience.”

Gary Player, 9-time major winner and designer of Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, commented, “When we first set out to design Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, there was limitless potential because of the natural beauty of the site and the sand base from which to sculpt the course. In addition the appointment of Troon who are so dedicated to presenting the course in top shape, year-round, was a bonus. We staged our Gary Player Invitational Pro-Am event here in February, and now to have a Ladies European Tour event set for next week is super news indeed. Just outstanding!”

Norris concludes, “We’re delighted that The Ladies European Tour has recognised Abu Dhabi, and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club as the perfect location to host the inaugural Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open. It’ll be an exciting week for our members, guests and spectators to see how the players approach the course, and we’re looking forward to partnering with the LET to make the event a great spectacle, with fantastic on-course golf action and off-course entertainment for all the family.”

Off the course, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is home to outstanding practice facilities, with a floodlit driving range and dedicated short game area, and the ultimate dining experience at the Hawksbill restaurant including fresh, seasonal dishes and the finest beverages that can be enjoyed inside or out.
