The Riverside Stand at Galpharm Stadium, Leeds Road, Huddersfield has become the new Direct Golf UK Stand. It is the main stand at this famous modern 24,000 capacity stadium which hosts many top sporting events such as rugby league internationals as well as pop concerts and it is the home of both Huddersfield Town FC and Huddersfield Giants RLFC.

The stand is now covered with the red, white and blue logo of Direct Golf UK, Europe’s leading multi-channel golf retailer. The company was founded by local PGA professional John Andrew in 1992 and has since enjoyed sixteen years of successful trading, now retailing from 13 nationwide stores as well as the award winning mail order service and No.1 golf website

The company employs over 50 PGA professionals to help ensure it delivers its promise of world class customer service. Direct Golf UK has taken over the driving range at the Stadium where they have refurbished the shop, range and also run a world class Golf Academy for all levels of golfers from beginner to advanced.

Direct Golf UK, Managing Director, John Andrew said, “It has been a great pleasure to be able to support Huddersfield Town and the Huddersfield Giants. I am a very keen sportsman and I am always looking to help and encourage sport wherever possible at all levels, and where better than on your doorstep.

“I have been very impressed with the set up at the Stadium since we took over the Driving Range in August and having the opportunity to sponsor the main stand just seemed the perfect fit to cement our relationship with the Stadium and their teams”.
