Judging panel announced for Women in Golf Awards

10.46am 23rd November 2022 - Sponsorship & Events

The judging panel for the inaugural Women in Golf Awards, which are taking place on December 7 at the Bramshaw and Bell Inn in Hampshire, has been decided, with women from a broad spectrum of the industry having agreed to take part in the ground-breaking event.

While voting remains open for the Brand of the Year, Venue of the Year, and the Unsung Hero Awards, the judging panel for the remainder of the awards to be presented on the night comprises BGIA Board Member Helen Willmser, Editor of Women and Golf Emma Ballard, Group Services Director at The TGI Group Adele McLean and COO of BIGGA Sami Strutt.

The organisers say that the response to the awards has been overwhelming, with practically every area of the golf industry represented on the guest list and nominations for the Unsung Hero Award having come in from every part of the UK.

“We are delighted by the interest the awards dinner has already received,” commented co-founder of the Women in Golf Awards, Nicole Wheatley. “Our main ambition for the awards was to reach a broad cross-section of women working in golf, and we have. The correspondence we have received has been incredibly supportive of the idea, so we are determined that this will become a permanent date in the calendar going forward.”

The confirmed Women in Golf Awards categories for 2022 are listed below, with more to follow:

There are still a few places available at the Awards Dinner, which is free to attend. Any woman working in the industry who is interested in joining should email wiga@medi8ltd.co.uk for more information.
