The Ladies section of Didsbury Golf Club in Cheshire has been awarded a “Millennium Awards For All” Grant totalling £4,300 to develop the girls section of the club.
The Golf Foundation’s Northern Regional Development Officer, Philip Beard who guided the club’s the application, said, “ It is expected that the money will be used to develop girls golf around the Manchester area and to establish a girls section at the club. It will also go towards suitable equipment, professional coaching fees and running a Golf Foundation junior leader’s award programme at the Didsbury.
