Motocaddy rolls out entry-level electric trolley

3.25pm 7th March 2024 - Retail

Motocaddy has introduced a new entry-level power trolley designed to encourage more golfers to ‘go electric’ when it comes to transporting their clubs around the golf course.

Based on the S-shaped frame and platform made popular by the legacy 12V S-Series range, the all-new Motocaddy SE electric trolley offers the brand’s customary styling, performance, and reliability at a more affordable price point to make it accessible to as many golfers as possible.

Easy-to-use, the new model features nine-speed settings, a USB port for on-the-go charging of mobile phones or GPS devices, plus an LED power indicator and handle-mounted battery meter.

“The SE is a perfect entry-level option for the golfer who wants to step up from the burden of carrying a bag, perhaps struggling with a push cart over hilly terrain or simply wanting to purchase an electric trolley for the very first time,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director Oliver Churcher “Despite being available for under £500, which is significantly less than our nearest competitor’s products, the SE still provides golfers with the same high build quality and reliability as other Motocaddy models across our range.

“Golfers walk upwards of 13,000 steps and six miles during an average round of golf. Independent research indicates that 85% of golfers surveyed feel that an electric trolley helps them play better, with almost two thirds stating that it makes the game more enjoyable, so we wanted to offer more golfers the opportunity to feel the benefit of an electric trolley,” he added.

Additional features on the new SE model include quick-release wheels with new tyre tread; a whisper-quiet 200W motor; folding lock; adjustable bag supports; and Motocaddy’s QUIKFOLDmechanism that enables the unit to be set up in seconds. It also incorporates the brand’s exclusive EASILOCK system, designed to lock a Motocaddy bag onto the trolley and remove the need for a lower bag strap.

Available with Ultra Lithium (£549.99 or a lead acid battery (£479.99), with on-board charging possible if preferred, the Motocaddy SE comes in a graphite-coloured frame and is available at retail now.
