The Club Company acquires The Nottinghamshire

The Club Company, the UK’s largest golf and country club owner, has expanded its portfolio to 18 with the acquisition of The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club from local entrepreneur Alan Hardy.

Situated in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside and voted The Midlands’ best golf course, this latest acquisition offers two 18-hole golf courses, a driving range and a 30-room boutique hotel.  The club also boasts a restaurant, and a thriving events and wedding business.

With one of the largest ladies’ sections in the country, The Nottinghamshire also aligns perfectly with The Club Company’s commitment to raise the profile of women’s golf and champion a more inclusive culture – a goal supported by the recent signing of the R&A’s Women in Golf Charter.

Richard Calvert, Chief Executive Officer of The Club Company said: “We are delighted to welcome The Nottinghamshire into The Club Company family. The club has an outstanding reputation, and we are committed to building on Alan’s hard work by continuing to invest in the club and its facilities for the benefit of members and visitors alike.”

Former owner Alan Hardy said: “It is with mixed emotions that I can confirm I’ve come to the end of my 14-year journey with The Nottinghamshire. I am proud that we’ve created something special in that time and now have a fantastic team of over 100 people. The Nottinghamshire now joins The Club Company as their 18th club, and I leave the club in their more than capable hands.”
