US Company choose British Masters

Hertfordshire based PGA Professional Matt Masters has been appointed European Director of Sales for U.S based SuperSpeed Golf LLC. Former Hertfordshire Lead Academy Coach and Herts County Coach, Masters first discovered SuperSpeed Golf equipment back in 2015.

Masters commented “I started SuperSpeed Golf training to help my own game, as I was in need of more speed and distance in my swing. I contacted the company owners and bought a set on the PGA own use deal and started training by following the protocols on the website. Within a month I had gained 20 yards of carry and this blew me away!

“I knew I had found a product that not only was helping me but would be a great help to the full variety of golfers I was coaching at the time too. Over a couple of years I was selling in high volume and I appeared on the owners radar back in the US.

“They contacted me to ask if I could work for them at the 2018 PGA Show in Orlando, including the Demo Day at Orange County National.

The scale of the Demo Day and the intensity of the work, involving constant interaction streams of interested golfers, Amateurs and Pro’s alike in that one day prepared me for then working three days on the floor of the vast trade show, followed by two further days working at the biggest annual TPI seminar, which is also held in the convention centre.

“After a successful week working with the US team I was asked if I would like to work full time for the company”

In September 2018 Masters started as European Sales and Purchasing Manager and in this time helped the business to really take hold in wholesale and retail terms in U.K. and Europe.

Masters travelled to various European countries to demonstrate the training at PGA, TPI and GolfLab seminars and also created a partnership between Superspeed Golf and the PGA of Denmark.

This led to SuperSpeed Golf company president, Mike Napolean flying in to present at the Annual PGA of Denmark conference at Himmerland Golf & Country Club in Aalborg back in January.

Three visits to France have also helped to create strong bonds with the French Golf Federation and the PGA of France.

Masters successfully promoted the products and training to many French coaches, which quickly led to the need to set up a warehouse in the south west of the country. France became one of the busiest markets outside of the U.K for the Overspeed training products in Europe.

Among the many French venues now using SuperSpeed as an essential part of golfing development are: The Academie at Le Golf National Paris and Altus Performance at Golf Le Vaudreuil. These venues use the products to train PGA Professionals, national squads and all other types of golfers too.

Masters commented “I am really pleased to take on this new role as European Director of Sales and have enjoyed working throughout the U.K and Europe to educate golf pro’s to the benefits of our training products and the business potential we offer too.

“It will be an opportunity to further grow the European operation and I’m relishing the challenge and looking forward to meeting many more coaches all over the U.K. and Europe, once we get back to something more normal !”

This change in role for Masters has allowed SuperSpeed Golf to lower the own use and wholesale pricing to Golf Pro’s and business customers, resulting in a lower retail pricing on the entire product range too. This will continue to grow the awareness of the brand, the importance of Overspeed Training and its accessibility.

SuperSpeed training clubs are currently used by 700+ Tour pros worldwide and Masters noted: “There are no players paid to use our products, they do this training because it works and it’s essential in the modern game. If you want to stay competitive on any tour – Men’s or Ladies’ – you are going to need to send it out there!”
SuperSpeed Golf company CEO and Co-owner, Kyle Shay added “ We are pleased to welcome Matt to the team in a larger role within the company. Matt has shown tremendous knowledge of golf and coaching, alongside a professional demeanour since we acquainted in 2015.

“Due to his success growing the European market, we have promoted Matt to the position of European Director of Sales. We look forward to continuing to continuing to educate the PGA pro’s and Amateurs on the correct ways to train for speed and power.”
